Daniela Petkova - Chairperson of the Board of Directors of PAC Doverie, honoured in recognition of her overall contribution to the development of insurance in Bulgaria
At a special ceremony held on 16.05.2013, Veleslav Gavriiski Foundation announced the winners of the award for overall contribution to the development of insurance and assurance in Bulgaria. In the field of assurance, the Foundation honoured Daniela Petkova - Chairperson of the Board of Directors of PAC Doverie, who is the third winner of the award after Nikola Abadzhiev, Chairperson of the Bulgarian Association of Supplementary Pension Insurance Companies, who was awarded at the establishment of the prize in 2011, and Prof. Yordan Hristoskov, who received the prize in 2012.
In an emotional speech at the presentation of the prize, Prof. Neno Pavlov, who presented the award, motivated the decision of the Foundation and the contribution of Daniela Petkova not only for the results she achieved as the manager of PAC Doverie, but also for her overall dynamic, professional, public beneficial and successful work for the establishment of the activity of supplementary pension insurance and her contribution to the development of insurance in Bulgaria.
In the field of insurance, the prize for overall contribution was awarded to Temenuga Nenova - Executive Vice President of Allianz Bulgaria Holding, who is the 14th winner of this award, established in 1999. The Foundation also presented a prize “For long-year participation and outstanding contribution to the Bulgarian insurance” to the 90-years old Dobrin Georgiev. Special awards were also presented to Prof. Tsekomir Vodenicharov - for his contribution to the development of health insurance and Yulian Sobadzhiev - for the development of intermediation in insurance.
This is yet another recognition for Daniela Petkova, who, in 2011, became the first representative of a non-banking financial institution to win the Burov Prize for financial management, and in 2012 - was awarded "Mr. Economics" for her contribution to the development of the non-banking financial sector.
