Employees of Pension Assurance Company Doverie took part in the seventh edition of the European initiative No Elevators Day

The seventh edition of the No Elevators Day, which took place on 28 April 2021, was supported by the employees of Pension Assurance Company Doverie and the employees of Doverie Business Centre. As a part of the initiative, people were urged, during the day, to use stairs instead of elevators.

More than 80% of those working in the offices in the seven-storey Business Centre building, without hesitation, chose to join in the venture and get moving. By regulation, access to the elevators for those who, for whatever reason, were unable or unwilling to participate, was completely free.

In an environment of pandemic and societal isolation, taking the stairs is the easiest and most accessible way to get around on a daily basis. That's why one of the goals of No Elevators Day is to show us that even if we spend almost all of our time at home or in the office, we can find ways to be physically active.

The idea of the European No Elevators Day is to reflect, at least for a day, on how important it is to be active for the sake of our hearts, bodies and minds and how the beneficial outcomes benefit people of all ages and professions.

The initiative, which Pension Assurance Company Doverie has supported since its inception, is organized by the International Sport and Culture Association (ISCA) and its Bulgarian partner - BG Be Active.
