PAC Doverie became a partner of Association for Stroke and Aphasia Bulgaria

PAC Doverie became a partner of the Association for Stroke and Aphasia Bulgaria by supporting the National campaign "Every minute is precious! Learn the symptoms of stroke". It was organized on the occasion of 29.10.2023 - World Stroke Day. 

The initiative includes the distribution, throughout the country, of free information materials on the risk factors and symptoms of stroke, and the correct behavior in their detection, as well as a short video with the symptoms of the disease. 

Stroke is the most significant disease in Bulgaria and the No. 1 cause of mortality, with statistical indicators exceeding many times those in other European countries. More than 45 000 new cases are registered annually and more than 1,5 million Bulgarians are affected, directly or indirectly. 

With each campaign, the number of municipalities joining the fight against stroke grows, from 12 in 2021 to over 230 out of 265 in the country. Information materials on stroke prevention have also been distributed in the smallest settlements (with less than 150 inhabitants).

The initiative of the Association for Stroke and Aphasia Bulgaria has been awarded the World Stroke Organization's Best Campaign Award. 

The partnership of PAC Doverie is a sign of commitment to the cause of reducing the number of strokes in Bulgaria and confirms the Company's desire to be useful to society by increasing the health awareness of the population.
