PAC Doverie - general sponsor of CIOFF WORLD FOLKLORIADA

This year PAC Doverie is again faithful to its long standing tradition of supporting projects in the sphere of Bulgarian history, culture, art and spirituality. From its very beginning till now the Company has been a champion of beautiful and noble causes aiming at treasuring and presenting the Bulgarian image unimpaired before the whole world and before ourselves.

The event we will together take part in this year is the Third National Festival of Bulgarian Folk Dance Ensembles. Our commitment to the International Cultural Festival is a symbol of our will to preserve and spread the Bulgarian foundations and traditions in time.

From this moment on we become friends and adherents, participating side by side in another challenge to prove that the centuries-long customs and culture of our motherland have still their strong and solid roots, for which the best evidence are causes like that.

PAC Doverie will award a special prize of BGN 3000 to the most attractive folk dance ensemble in the Festival. In each stage of the Festival the Company will have its representative in the jury to nominate the potential prize winner. We will also lay down some criteria which will help us choose our favorite. In the first place we will stress on the dynamics and the originality of the performance. We will also support big rather than chamber ensembles. Concerning age limits we have only one requirement - participants must be 14 years of age or older. The repertoire of the participating groups should be based on the Bulgarian folklore styles. Additional criteria for successful performance will be the costumes, the music accompaniment and the characteristic style of the participants.

The jury of PAC Doverie will make its final decision after the performance of all ensembles in the different stages of the competition. The special prize will be awarded after the end of the final stage in Sofia.
