PAC Doverie helps the socialization of children deprived of parental care

PAC Doverie was the main sponsor of the beach volleyball tournament for boys and girls from group homes for children deprived of parental care, which took place in Albena resort from 1 to 4 of September. Teams from orphanages in Dobrich, Silistra, Shumen and Stara Zagora took part in the competition together with those using the services of the public support centers in the towns of Parvomay, Ihtiman, etc.

The tournament is a pilot stage of a project for socialization through sports of children deprived of parental care, which includes competitions in beach volleyball in Albena resort and beach soccer in Shkorpilovtsi. The event was organized by the Bulgarian Association for Beach Sports, which in the following 5 years plans to expand the project with other forms of socialization of children to whom fate has been unfavorable. Next year's tournament is expected to become international, with the participation of children from Serbia, Ukraine, Romania, Germany, Azerbaijan, etc.

To support children's skills and talents is an important part of the corporate social responsibility policy of PAC Doverie. In 2011 the Ethnic Arts Festival Children of the Balkans was once again realized with the aid of the Company. The bedrooms of the "Nadezhda" orphanage in the town of Belogradchik were repaired with the financial aid of PAC Doverie and donated money and labor by employees of the company. The company participated also in the Smart Start event organized by the Junior Achievement Foundation. From the end of 2010, in partnership with local authorities, PAC Doverie implements its own "Free internet access in small towns and villages" project.
