PAC Doverie participated in "Earth Hour"
PAC Doverie participates in WWF's "Earth Hour", the largest environmental movement in the world, inspiring people, communities, companies and organizations in more than 180 countries to take action to protect our planet.
This year, the event took place on March 22, but as a sign of solidarity with the cause for a more sustainable future, the company turned off the lights on its logos for the entire weekend.
The initiative led to a number of positive changes, globally, such as the ban on single-use plastic in the Galapagos Islands, the creation of a large marine protected area in French Polynesia, etc.
"The stakes have never been higher. The past year was the hottest on record, capping off the hottest decade, with the hottest seas ever recorded. We have also witnessed historic wildfires, storms and droughts. Our world is at risk and we are rapidly approaching dangerous climate tipping points, beyond which key ecosystems may never recover. Earth Hour is a powerful reminder of the urgency to act while we still can. It is not just about turning off the lights; it is about mobilizing a global movement for change. By engaging people, communities and businesses, we can create a collective force that leads to real impact and inspires hope for a sustainable future", said Kirsten Schuit, Director General of WWF International.
