PAC Doverie supported the national campaign "Fun Summer Reading"

On 30 March, the National Round Table on Children's Reading took place at the Sofia Library as part of the "Fun Summer Reading" project.

 
The initiative is held under the patronage of the Mayor of Sofia - Yordanka Fandakova and with the support of the Pension Assurance Company Doverie, the publishing houses for children's literature "Kibea" and "Infodar", Stara Zagora Municipality and Bourgas Municipality.

The conference was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Education, their Excellences the Ambassadors of the Kingdom of Denmark Kore Jansson, of Norway Tove Skarstein, libraries from all over the country, schools, experts, young authors, parents, university lecturers, educators, psychologists, NGOs. 

 
Topics and issues related to children's reading were discussed, such as the relevance of compulsory summer reading lists, teachers' attitudes and the education system's approaches to the topic.

 
"Az-deteto.bg Fun Reading" is organized by the children's portal Az-deteto.bg, in cooperation with Sofia Library for the second consecutive year. The aim of the initiative, which started on June 1 and ends on September 17, is to promote reading among children and students.

 
This year the event will take place in the following cities: Pleven, Varna, Bourgas, Stara Zagora and Blagovgrad.
