Pension Assurance Company Doverie took the award for Pension Insurance Company of the Year, in the category of supplementary compulsory pension insurance, for the seventh time in a row

The ninth edition of the annual awards "Insurer of the Year, Insurance Company of the Year" was held on 18.05.2017. The organizers of the event are the Higher School of Insurance and Finance, the Association of Bulgarian Insurers, Prof. Dr Veleslav Gavriiski Foundation, the Bulgarian Association of Supplementary Pension Insurance Companies and the Bulgarian Association of Insurance Brokers.

 
At the ceremony, for the seventh time in a row, PAC Doverie was awarded the prize for Pension Insurance Company of the Year, in the category "Supplementary Compulsory Pension Insurance". The company has been a consistent winner and winner of the prestigious award in this category since its establishment in 2010.

 
The prize is awarded by an expert jury, composed of representatives of the five organisations, based on objective public indicators and results. 

 
Traditionally, during the ceremony, Prof. Dr Veleslav Gavriiski Foundation presented its awards for overall contribution to insurance, assurance and the development of insurance intermediation. The award can be given only once to the same person and represents recognition for long-standing and significant achievements in the respective field.

 
The awardees by the Board of Trustees of the Foundation this year are for contribution in insurance - Milen Markov, Executive director of PAC Saglasie, for contribution in insurance - Ralitsa Agayn Guri, Deputy Chairman of the FSC, Head of the Insurance Supervision Department and Petrozar Petkov, Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Bulins, for contribution to insurance brokerage - Iveta Kunova, Chairperson of the Bulgarian Association of Insurance Brokers and Head of Instrade Insurance Broker.

 
The organizers honoured the memory of one of the doyens of Bulgarian insurance, Rumen Yanchev, Chairperson of the Management Board and Exectutive director of Bulstrad Vienna Insurance Group AD, who passed away in 2016. The Higher School of Insurance and Finance announced the establishment of a Master's Scholarship in his name and Prof. Dr Veleslav Gavriiski Foundation, posthumously, named him Honorary Chairperson of the Board of Trustees.
