The National Social Security Institute transferred the first contributions of the insured to universal pension funds
The National Social Security Institute started transferring the contributions for those born after 31.12.1959 to the universal pension funds of their choice. The main stage of the reform of the pension insurance system, which regulates the functioning of the three pillars of insurance, the activity of private pension funds, their licensing and control, was practically completed with the receipt of the insured persons' funds in their individual accounts.
During this period, the two major campaigns for the choice of professional and universal pension funds took place.
In the coming years, pension funds are expected to focus their efforts mainly on the efficient management of insured persons funds and on building customer service programmes.
