In 2023, Pensions Assurance Company Doverie earned the award for Pension Assurance Company of the Year in the category “Supplementary mandatory pension insurance” for the 12th consecutive time. The awards are presented annually by the Prof. Dr. Veleslav Gavriyski Foundation, the Higher School of Insurance and Finance, the Association of Bulgarian Insurers, the Bulgarian Association of Insurance Brokers (BAIB), and the Bulgarian Association of Supplementary Pension Security Companies (BASSPSC).
PAC Doverie increased all life-long pensions and deferred pension payments. From April 1, 2022, to March 31, 2023, the increase in life-long pensions was 14,26% year-on-year, and the increase in deferred payments was 8,5% year-on-year.
For yet another year, PAC Doverie partnered with Darik Radio's social project "40 under 40", which aims to discover, encourage, and give publicity to young and successful Bulgarians and their achievements. The company has supported the cause for the sixth consecutive year.
The company was a partner of the 18th World Meeting of Bulgarian Media under the slogan "Media and Freedom," traditionally organized by the Bulgarian News Agency (BTA). The forum included journalists from 33 countries, with representatives from 40 Bulgarian media outlets from 16 countries.
As part of its annual "Social Active Day" initiative, the team of PAC Doverie cleaned and improved the area around the fishpond near Pancharevo Lake, as well as part of the alley between the “Kokalyane” Hydroelectric power station and the dam wall. The initiative, held under the slogan "Kindness is the only investment that never fails", is part of the company's corporate social responsibility policy and was conducted with the support of the local administration of the Pancharevo District.
Thanks to the joint efforts of over 250 employees of the company and their relatives from across the country, the meadow known as "Pishmana Beach" was cleaned, and the concrete barriers around it, as well as the railings of the bridge to the main alley, were painted.
The company supported the 31st edition of the "Bank of the Year" award ceremony, organized by the "Bank of the Year" Association.
PAC Doverie participated in an international conference organized by the European Confederation PensionsEurope (CEEC Forum) and the Bulgarian Association of Supplementary Pension Security Companies (BASSPSC).
Once again, employees of PAC Doverie collected several dozen kilograms of plastic caps in the 10th campaign of "Caps for the Future", held this month in several Bulgarian cities.
PAC Doverie also participated in the 21st edition of the educational program “The Non-Banking Financial Sector in Bulgaria”, hosting 12 students from high schools specializing in economics and finance from different cities in the country. The event was organized by the Financial Supervision Commission, the Ministry of Education and Science, and the Atanas Burov Foundation.
The company also took part in the prestigious INVESTOR FINANCE FORUM. "Bulgaria is a top destination for start-up projects. We can say that we are one of the white swans in Europe in this respect", stated Miroslav Marinov, Executive Director of PAC Doverie. According to him, despite its small size, our country can become an incubator for interesting initiatives, exemplified by the highly successful development of the internet network in the country in the past.
Representatives of PAC Doverie participated in a Round Table on "General Purpose Financial and Accounting Reporting of Second and Third Pillar Pension Funds in Bulgaria. Draft National Accounting Standard", organized by the Bulgarian Association of Supplementary Pension Security Companies (BASSPSC).
At the end of 2023, the company became a partner of the Association for stroke and aphasia, supporting the national campaign "Every Minute is Valuable! Learn the symptoms of a stroke". The initiative includes the distribution of free informational materials about risk factors and stroke symptoms, as well as the appropriate response when they are identified, throughout the country. A short video clip illustrating the symptoms of the condition was also disseminated.
