Angelina Petrova, Executive director of PAC Doverie, was awarded by Prof. Dr Veleslav Gavriiski Foundation with the award "For Overall Contribution to the Development of Bulgarian Insurance".

The eighth edition of the annual awards "Insurer of the Year, Assurance Company of the Year" was held on 17.05.2016. The organizers of the event are the Higher School of Insurance and Finance, the Association of Bulgarian Insurers, Prof. Dr Veleslav Gavriiski Foundation (http://www. gavriiski. com/pages/works/nominacii. html), the Bulgarian Association of Supplementary Pension Insurance Companies and the Bulgarian Association of Insurance Brokers.

 
Traditionally, during the ceremony, Prof. Dr Veleslav Gavriiski Foundation presented its awards for overall contribution to insurance and assurance, and this year, for the first time, for overall contribution to the development of insurance intermediation. The award can be given once to the same person and represents recognition for long-standing and significant achievements in the respective field.

 
This year's winners of the award from the Foundation's Board of Trustees are Angelina Petrova, Executive director of Pension Assurance Company Doverie for contribution to insurance, Maxim Sirakov, CFO of Allianz Bulgaria Holding, for contribution to insurance, and Aneta Petrova, owner and manager of the insurance broker Bulstar, for contribution to insurance intermediation.

 
Angelina Petrova is the sixth winner of the award "For overall contribution to the development of insurance in Bulgaria". She started working at PAC Doverie in 1994, the year of the Company's foundation, as Director of the Information Systems and Pension Product Department, which she headed until the beginning of March 2002, when she was appointed Deputy Executive director. In 2012, she headed the Specialized  Internal Control Department reporting directly to the Board of Directors and, from March 2013, she held the position of Executive director. She has been the Company's responsible actuary for many years. She graduated from the Faculty of Mathematics of the Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski, majoring in Mathematics, qualification – mathematician - mathematical statistics.

 
She is the third acting manager of a pension insurance company, after Daniela Petkova, Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Pension Assurance Company Doverie and Sofia Hristova, Executive director of Allianz Bulgaria, who received the prestigious award. The statuette of Nike was presented to her by Biser Petkov, Governor of the National Social Security Institute.

2016 - Angelina Petrova – Executive director of PAC Doverie.

 
At the same ceremony, for the sixth time in a row, Pension Assurance Company Doverie was awarded with the prize for Pension Insurance Company of the Year, in the category "Supplementary compulsory pension insurance". The company has been a consistent winner and winner of the prestigious award in this category since its establishment in 2010.
