Employees at the Doverie business center massively supported the eleventh edition of the "No Elevators Day" initiative

The eleventh edition of the European "No Elevators Day", which took place this year on April 30 (Wednesday), was enthusiastically supported by the employees of the Doverie business center.

On this day, in various buildings throughout Europe, including Bulgaria, some of the elevators and escalators were symbolically closed, and people were urged not to use them.

This year, over 80% of the office workers in the seven-story building of the Doverie business center, without hesitation, chose to support the initiative and move around using the stairs. Of course, access to the elevators for those who, for some reason, cannot or do not want to participate in the initiative, was completely free.

The motto of the initiative is "Movement is Health!", reminding that even short daily activities can significantly improve our physical and mental well-being.

The event is part of the NowWeMOVE campaign, which promotes daily physical activity and sports for everyone. "No Elevators Day" is also part of the MOVEmentPills project, which is implemented with the support of the European Commission.

Educational institutions, institutions and businesses from all over the country are actively involved in the initiative, organizing various outdoor activities and events that get citizens moving and motivate them to lead a more active lifestyle.

Traditionally, the message is shared by famous people, actors, musicians, influencers, athletes, and anyone who wants to can join in by taking a photo or video of their choice to be active on the stairs and sharing it on social media with #NoElevatorsDay2025 and #EatStairsForBreakfast.
