Miroslav Marinov, Executive director of PAC Doverie, with recognition for his overall contribution to the development of insurance in Bulgaria

Miroslav Marinov, Executive director of Pension Assurance Company Doverie, is this year's winner of the special award "For overall contribution to the development of insurance in Bulgaria", which is awarded by Prof. Veleslav Gavriyski Foundation.

He is the tenth winner of the award, which the Foundation presents to deserving and established specialists and managers in Bulgarian insurance and assurance. "These are individuals who, over the years, with their professional, innovative and leadership qualities have contributed enormously to European change and the development of modern entrepreneurship...", says the letter of Prof. Neno Pavlov, Chairperson of the Board of the Foundation.

 
Miroslav Marinov has devoted over 20 years of his life to the work in PAC Doverie and to the development of supplementary pension insurance in Bulgaria. His main field of activity is related to financial management and investments. He started working as a financial analyst in the Finance and Accounting Directorate in 1999. In early 2000, he was appointed Internal Auditor and from April 2001 - Director of the Finance, Accounting and Investment Directorate. In 2008, he became Deputy Executive director and Chief Financial Officer. Four years later, in 2012, he was elected as a Member of the Board and subsequently as Executive director.

He holds a Master's degree in Corporate Finance from the University of National and World Economy (UNWE). Miroslav Marinov is the third representative of PAC Doverie to receive the prestigious award. In 2013, Daniela Petkova, Chairperson of the Company's Board of Directors, became the first acting manager of a pension insurance company to hold the statuette of the goddess of victory "Nike". In 2016, the award was also presented to Angelina Petrova, Executive director of PAC Doverie.

 
In the field of insurance, the high distinction was awarded to Peter Avramov - Deputy Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Euroins and Chairperson of the Supervisory Board of EIG Re AD, as well as Prof. Dr Stoyan Prodanov - Executive director of Bul Ins AD and Head of the Department of Finance at the Academy of Economics - Svishtov.
