PAC Doverie with presence on the review show "Word of the Year" of Darik Radio

Representatives of PAC Doverie attended the public-political review program of Darik Radio - "Word of the Year". During the live broadcast, in the off-air studio, in the restaurant "Komat", in Sofia, the analysis of the past year and the forecasts for 2024 of President Rosen Plevneliev (2012-2017), Sofia Mayor Vassil Terziev, the founder of "Overgas" Sasho Donchev, actress and model Dilyana Popova, Finance Minister Assen Vassilev, as well as the US Ambassador to Bulgaria - Kenneth Merten were presented. 

For President Rosen Plevneliev, "Schengen" is definitely the word of 2023. For the next year, he defined the "Eurozone", as it is the main priority of the country.

In his words, European inclusion will give the present and future generations a chance to live in prosperity and with strict respect for our human rights. 

Sofia Mayor Vassil Terziev named the word of the past year "Sofia". For 2024, he hopes it will be "unification" or "union". He added that there are major infrastructure projects in Sofia that will be implemented in the next 12 months. 

"War" is the word of the year, according to Sasho Donchev, founder of the country's largest private gas company, "Overgas". According to him, war refers to all dimensions - in institutions, between ourselves, but, as the saddest he defined what is happening Ukraine and Israel. 

Actress and model Dilyana Popova said that for her the word of the year is "extrapolation". The reference comes from a TV series that looks at the damage we are causing to the planet with over-consumption. For 2024, she would like the word of the year to be "peace". 

Finance Minister Assen Vassilev has identified "demography" as the word of 2023. He explained that we are reporting higher birth rates and the return of Bulgarian citizens from abroad. According to him, this is due to the fact that our country is becoming a better place to live, which is the true assessment of the work of a government. 

For H.E. Kenneth Merten, US Ambassador to Bulgaria, the word of the year for 2023 is "unification" or "togetherness".

"We celebrated 120 years of diplomatic relations. We worked together to modernize the Bulgarian army and brought entrepreneurs who would invest here", Ambassador Merten said, adding that he was working to attract more tourists to Bulgaria. His hope is that the word for 2024 will be "partnership".
